Kotihiiri

About Kotihiiri

Kotihiiri brings the decision-making of Finland’s six largest cities together in an easy-to-read form.

Method

Once a week a program collects the agendas and minutes the cities publish. It follows each site’s robots.txt, makes at most one request per second and stores only structured text. Attachments are not copied; we link to them.

The look and the way the data is presented were inspired by the Belgian mijnkamer.be, which does the same for the federal parliament.

Privacy

This site uses no cookies and no analytics. We remove e-mail addresses and phone numbers from the text we store. When a city removes personal data from minutes after the appeal period, it disappears from here at the next monthly check.
